EAAB: CPD Online Learning Finally Open

The EAAB sent out a communique on the 7th of December saying that the Online Learning platform is finally up and running for the year of 2020.

This announcement follows after the EAAB decided to waive the 2020 CPD payment, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Property Practitioners saw early on that they could not access the online learning platform, and after months of technical errors, the EAAB has managed to get the system up and running again.

This basically means that Full-Status Agents can now get their verifiable CPD points by means of the online learning platform in their respective categories selected in the Professional Development Plan.

The EAAB also announced that the time in which agents can complete their CPD for 2020 has been extended with 6 months. This means that Full-Status Agents now have time until June 2021 to complete their CPD for 2020.

There has been reports that the CPD online learning system is not in full working order, as some agents have been struggling to upload their answers when they have completed their tests. There are, however, a few agents who have been able to complete their online learning successfully.

We suggest that Full Status Agents who wish to complete their online learning, should try on different browsers, for example, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, when doing their tests, because the EAAB's website is not always a 100% compatible with Google Chrome.

We also suggest that agents try and complete as much of the online learning as they can during the festive season, seeing that the new year always starts with a bang for the Real Estate Industry. It is also a good idea to try and complete it in group format, if possible, for accountability purposes. Select a few colleagues you get along with and sit and do your CPD together. Remember to keep all your certificates for your non-verifiable CPD points on record, so you have it on hand should the EAAB request them.
