The EAAB sent out yet another communique regarding CPD to all stakeholders. The Email read that the timeline to complete one's CPD points for the year 2020 is extended to 30 June 2021, instead of the usual 31 March.
This change comes most likely because the EAAB Online CPD System was completely out of order for most of last year, and Estate Agents could not complete any online points due to this error.
There has been no clear communication from the EAAB offices to confirm that the technical error regarding the Online CPD system has been fixed. This would explain why they are so eager to grant the above mentioned extension.
Estate Agents are urged to try and complete their CPD points by making use of online trainings done by recognized institutions in South Africa; rather than rely on the CPD system to work.
