EAAB: Enrolment for PDE Exams Now Open

Hi Property Practitioners!


The EAAB has sent out a communique to let stakeholders know that enrolment for the Professional Designation Examination that takes place on 25 February 2021 is now open.


Here are the highlights:

  1. Examinations will be fully online, no venue-based examinations will take place.

  2. Enrolment for the exams closes on 4 February 2021.

  3. Enrolment must be done via die enrolment form available on the EAAB website (see also attached below).

  4. The Exam is 4 hours long and open-book.

Here are some specifics for PDE4 and PDE5 respectively:


PDE4

  1. The enrolment fee is R 1067.00. This must be paid to the EAAB in their ABSA account with your 7-digit ffc reference number as reference for payment. (the reference for payment is very important! it must be correct for them to allocate the funds). The EAAB is listed as a public beneficiary on most banking apps.

  2. You can only register for the exam if you have been found competent by the EAAB for both the Logbook and the NQF4. You can check if you qualify by logging in to your EAAB profile via the online portal and click on "Check my Qualification Status" in the right-hand pane.

  3. You must register for the examination via the Online Portal before you pay the enrolment fee. You must send the completed enrolment form and proof of payment for the enrolment funds to pde@eaab.org.za.

  4. Make sure you have downloaded Google Chrome Browser before the exam, as the examination site only works via Google Chrome.

PDE5

  1. The enrolment fee is R 1397.00. This must be paid to the EAAB in their ABSA account with your 7-digit ffc reference number as reference for payment. Other general points to note is as follows:

  1. Your Examination seat number will be populated on you profile via the Online Portal. Check the website regularly after you have enrolled for your seat number.

  2. Exam results are released 8 weeks after the exam has taken place. The results will be available on the online portal.

  3. Certificates will be issued 60 to 90 days after the results are released.

  4. Exam study material is available for purchase directly from the EAAB.

  5. Calculators and dictionaries are allowed to be used during the exam.
